Welcome to My World

posted by LivingLife
Thank you for visiting my blog! I want to use this blogspot to help keep people informed about LIVING with Rheumatoid Arthritis "RA" and any other diseases that keep people in chronic pain (i.e. figromyalgia).

I was diagnosed w/ RA at the age of 4 and have been learning how to "LIVE" with it for the past 24 years. I understand how hard it is to enjoy life when your in pain & exhausted all the time, but if we work together there has to be a way to LIVE with it :)

I had both my hips replaced in 2005 & it was the BEST decision I ever made for my health. For those that are unsure of surgery, DON'T rule it out! I was dead-set against it, but I have more flexibility that I've had my entire life - can tie my shoes, pick things off the ground and anything else that involves bending that most people take for granted!!

The best thing about the hip replacements is that I'm able to exercise now and actually enjoy it. I do water aerobics & pilates. I LOVE PILATES!! Would never have been able to do it before the hip surgeries and it is definitely providing me with more flexibility and range of motion.

Please post any tips you may have discovered to help LIVE with pain. :)

Have a great day :)
Kendra
