Ruthless Records Returns

When Hip Hop fans hear the word Ruthless, thoughts of Eazy come to mind rapidly.N.W.A., The D.O.C., Bone Thugs N Harmony and Above the Law are just some of the acts that rose to fame (or infamy) with Ruthless Records.

Now, Eazy is still in the mix, in a way. His wife, Tomica Woods-Wright is the CEO of the label and she isabout to relaunch Ruthless. The first relaunch happened with a distribution deal with Relativity in the late ’90s when the label signed veteran King Tee and Baby S.

Woods-Wright recently spoke on this relaunch by providing information on what’s to come via statement.

“It’s about one thing right now, the artists — what their contributions will be and the next layers they will add to the legacy of the label,” she said.

The artists she is referring to include up and coming acts such as Hopsin, Nashay,Stevie Stone and Agina.
