If the country buffs reaction at the Country Thunder USA concert is more or less an indication, Jessica Simpson's country musical career isn't looking very brilliant, to say the least. "She's an embarrassment to country music," a concertgoer told a newspaper in Kenosha of her weekend performance in Randall, Wisc. The 28 year old, whose nation album "Do You Know" is intended to hit stores Sept. 9, followed Kellie Pickler on stage and was immediately warned of the crowd's dissatisfaction with her as she was greeted with a chorus of boos. Pop singer turned actress Jessica Simpson asserts she’s no obsessed celebrity as she tries to recreate herself as a serious country singer. Jessica stated, “I’m not what everyone thinks that I am." “I might buy pricey shoes, but I’m unquestionably a country girl and this record album will hopefully give people a feel of who Jessica really is again.” The new record album "Do You Know", due in September, features songs by Dolly Parton, 62.

If Tony has a publicist and you know who it is, please forward this post to them. Tony needs to learn how to deal with the Jessica Simpson saga. Instead of remaining quiet and aloof about the subject embrace it. Providing the two are very close and still going strong, which it sounds like they are, Tony needs to find a message that will get everyone off his back.

The biggest fear Cowboys fans have is that Jessica Simpson is a “distraction.” To counter those fears Tony needs to come clean and say this:

“I am deeply in love with Jessica and she is a positive force in my life. Not only do I feel happy around her, but she is a calming supportive voice. When I am around her I feel at ease. I no longer have a desire to go out and party all night long, I would rather spend an evening at home with her. She has an amazing way of keeping me focused.”

That takes all the ammunition away from critics. Plus, when you are trying to hide something, people always perceive a problem. Try it Tony, you may find all the people that interview you will then be totally disarmed and even happy for you.

Jessica Simpson’s long-awaited country album is due out September 9, her father Joe tells Usmagazine.com.

“It’s going to be a great year,” he told Us at a taping of Pete Wentz’s new show F’N MTV in Hollywood Thursday.

“It’s 9-9 — she’s into nines this year,” he added. “We hope it’s a wonderful joy. It feels really good. She is extremely happy.”

The video for “Come on Over,” her first single, debuts on her Web site Saturday.

“Next week it’ll be on CMT,” Joe said.

Joe said his daughter — who turned 28 Thursday — is perfect for country music, calling it “the heartland of America.

“We forget on the East and West coasts that there is a whole country in between,” Joe said. “That’s our home, and that’s Jessica’s home.”

Asked why she recorded a country album, Jessica told Billboard earlier this year: “I am a country girl. I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to.”

Citing Martina McBride, newly single Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire as inspirations, she said, “I think there is a strength in female country artists.”

This weekend, Simpson is headed to Lake Tahoe, where beau Tony Romo is playing in a golf tournament.

“We’ll probably rent a boat and go out on the lake on Saturday,” Romo told Us.
