The Los Angeles Angels catcher is leading the club with 10 homers after nailing two on Sunday to drive in a career-high five runs in the Halos’ 10-2 victory over the cross-town Dodgers.

His 10 bombs equal the number between Anderson and Hunter and are six more than the slumping Guerrero. Why are his 23 RBIs so impressive? Napoli has only played in 27 of the team's 46 games, since he's sharing backstop duties with Jeff Mathis.

Vladimir Guerrero and Torii Hunter, together at last.

The Los Angeles Angels agreed to a five-year, $90 million deal Wednesday with the 32-year-old free agent, who hit .297 with 28 homers and drove in 107 runs in his contract year with the Minnesota Twins.

The seven-time Gold Glover will be their everyday center fielder and hit in the middle of the lineup, making things a whole lot more complicated for the opposition to pitch around Guerrero.

Between Vlad, Torii, Garret Anderson and last year's center fielder, Gary Matthews, Jr., manager Mike Scioscia plans to use his outfield depth to rotate players at the designated hitter's spot.

Total domination is highly likely.

The fans at Angel Stadium will be treated to a game between the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Angels when they take their seats on Saturday.

Ace Josh Beckett will be the starting pitcher for the Red Sox on this day. Righthander Beckett is 9-5 this season with a 3.94 ERA.

It'll be Joe Saunders toeing the rubber for the Angels in this contest. Lefthander Saunders is 12-5 with a 3.07 ERA so far this season.

Congratulations to Maicer Izturis on hitting his first career grand slam, which aided in the Los Angeles Angels 10-1 bitch-slapping of the Minnesota Twins Friday night.

The switch-hitting third baseman smoked an 0-1 Scott Baker pitch deep into the right-field seats in the sixth inning for his fourth longball of the year and second in four games.

Izturis is batting .268 with 31 RBIs and 3 stolen bases on the season.
