EXCLUSIVE: Marc Jacobs' new man speaks up, what's up with Austin A?

We've all heard about Marc Jacob's new "boyfriend" Austin A. He's a 22-year-old aspiring model from small town America. Suddenly, he's whisked away on a private jet for a high-profile vacation in Los Angeles with everybody's favorite 45-year-old gay designer. He sounds like your typical twinky gold digger, huh? Well - maybe not.

I recently had a very candid conversation with Austin A, the guy being tagged as Marc Jacob's new "boy toy." Much to my surprise, I discovered what seems to be an everyday gay just looking for fun and life-long happiness.

From the wild child Jason Preston to a wholesome and sweet Austin A... what's really going on?

To set the record straight: "I wouldn't say we're dating," Austin said. He told me that he really enjoys hanging out with Marc, but they aren't actually an exclusive couple. Austin says the media has really blown the whole thing out of proportion.

Marc, of course, is abroad working with Louis Vuitton; and Austin is currently in L.A. Austin says he spoke with Jacobs a few days ago but admits that they haven't been together since the infamous Los Angeles trip.

"The timing of that trip," Austin says, "was horrible." He says he and Marc met each other in New York but weren't ever spotted in public together. It wasn't until they went to L.A. that their relationship went public.

The weekend that Marc and Austin were spotted snuggling up in Cali was the same weekend that Jason Preston showed up at Hot Mess with Erik Rhodes. That was the night before Page Six broke the story of Jason and Marc's dramatic break-up.

Bam! Austin, who tells me he has always been attracted to older men, was thrust into the spotlight as Marc Jacob's new younger man.

As I said earlier, Austin and I spoke very candidly. He didn't seem to have anything to hide, and he told me that he is really interested in becoming a model.

He'll return to New York in May and is already booking jobs with his modeling agency. That's also when Marc Jacobs will return from Paris. I look forward to seeing whether or not there will be an Austin - Marc reunion.

Meanwhile, I'm sure Jason Preston is going to kill me on Sunday!

I was in Hollywood this weekend and left after my sketching class.

Here is a new sketch I did... We were practicing faces. I was inspired by two of my favourite models, Jaslene from ANTM and my friend Marilinda, who was on Project Runway last season.

I like it...

We went to LA for the Miguel Bose concert and also went shopping to my favourite stores on Melrose and Robertson St.

We went to all the Kitson's and here is some of the stuff I loved...

I got this Kidada for Disney Couture bracelet for my Saffi since she LOVES Tinkerbell

I also loved this pill necklace by Andrew Hamilton Crawford.. I think it was really ironic and appropriate for me...

I also went gaga for these t-shirts...

I love Chicano art so this Lovely Vandal t-shirt for Something Sacred was a natural...

As well as this Kitson Voodoo Lounge one, considering by love life...

This A.V Max bracelet also caught my eye...for obvious reasons.

Then we headed to the stores on Melrose. Here is a picture of me at the window of the Tarina Tarantino store in a Vivienne Westwood for Liberty t-shirt, Keenan Dufty jacket and Ed Hardy hat with Topshop jewelry and not a stitch of make-up...

Keenan Dufty is another one of those brilliant East London, Central St. Martins graduate designers who does amazing rock and roll-inspired clothing. He does a line for Target... Pretty fierce, no?

We also went to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store which is awesome, because you can score rare Marc Jacobs items for super cheap...like for a buck.

Here is some of the stuff I loved. I get these pics on eBay because the bloody Marc Jacobs site is bloody Flash based... That program BLOWS.

There were a couple of AMAZING t-shirts we saw at the Christian Audigier store..

The thing is they "copyright" their online images so they are sheer out-of-luck for the pimp...

The service at the Christian Audigier store SUCKED. The sales people were complete assholes and one of the girls kicked out my friend who was trying on shirts of his dressing room, so an old rich-looking Hollywood, not- aware -of- his- age- and- how -ridiculous -he -looked-dude could use it.

She literaly took my friend's clothes aout of the dressing room and told him he was going to have to wait for the old, demanding asswipe.

Well, I feel bad for her, specially if they wanted good, free PR and a nice chunky comission. Particularly since half of the fashion industry now reads this blog.

It pays off to be nice to the Milla and her homeys...

Then we came back to San Diego for the second leg of the Miguel Bose tour .

The Post is reporting that Marc and Austin are already fighting just as much as Jason and Marc do. Their source says, "[Jacobs] brought Austin to Los Angeles for the weekend, where they ended up squabbling most of the trip. It started Thursday at Foxtail lounge when Jacobs was seen kissing both Austin and another man. “Marc showed up at Foxtail with Austin and another guy who looked just like his ex, Jason Preston, with tattoos and a cut-off shirt,” said our spy. “Marc was dressed in a tank top and black sweat pants. He looked like a mess. He was kissing both of the guys, bouncing back and forth between them and acting loony.” An industry insider tells GaySocialites.com that Austin took a stab at modeling but was forced to quit because he was "a fucking train wreck." Designer Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton closed fashion week in Paris with his Spring 2008 collection. Helf in the historic “Cour Carree” of the Louvre, the show attracted celebrities such as musicians Kanye West, Victoria Beckham,Courtney Love and Jamie Cullum as well as Sofia Coppola, Catherine Deneuve,and Dita von Teese. Models paraded in flashy outfits inspired by U.S. artist Richard Prince, who was also at the show. Jacobs also created some beautiful totes and handbags featuring bleeding stains of color also inspired by Prince’s work.
