Mexican Nude Shoot: Another Latin Strip Show

I suppose most everyone has heard about the nude shoot in Mexico City. While I have no problem at all with nudity, it does seem a bit weird.

When I first saw the pic,it looked like Allah had suddenly snatched up the robes of the pilgrims in Mecca's central square.

Be that as it may, it is kind of cool. It is a new record for number of Spanish speaking exhibitionists gathered together in one place. Collective nudism seems to be a Latin thing. The prior record was set in Barcelona.

And at the bottom of the blog I have a banner for the "Running of the Nudes" in Pampalona this summer, an annual protest against Bullfighting.

That event is decidely un-Hemingway, but I do have to think a bit more civilized than getting pumped up to watch a few drunks get their stomachs eviscerated by some frightened cattle.

It is certainly much more aesthetic:

Anyway on Sunday, 18,000 Mexicans stripped down to create a giant mosaic in Mexico City's Zocalo Square for photographer Spencer Tunick's shoot. There were only 8,000 in the Barcelona event.

I do hope everyone had a good time, but any number of things are a lot more fun to do in the buff.

Cohen Back From Nudist Colony (10/20/98)

AoE Newsletter Issue #92 (Dec. 1998) reported that after disappearing for just over a week, Secretary of Defense Cohen returned, a bit embarrassed, to Washington DC from a clothing-optional compound in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

William Sebastian Cohen, the Republican Secretary of Defense serving under President Clinton since 1997 , departed from his Arlington, VA home ten days ago, leaving only a note. Addressed only to “My beloved wife, Janet Langhart, and Mr. President,” the note described Cohen’s intention to leave mainstream political life in favor of the secluded life of a commune in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The note stated that Cohen wanted to get closer to God and felt that he would be most able to accomplish that in the “U.P.” because of its “long association with the phrase ‘God’s Country.’”

Cohen, who had been wrestling with a slight cold in the days prior to his disappearance, attributed the episode to an overindulgence of over-the-counter cold medicine. In a statement released to the press, Cohen said, “It turns out I just took too much Robitussin. For the record, I don’t want to live in the Upper Peninsula, nor have interest in referring to it as the ‘U.P.’”

What Cohen thought was a commune turned out to be a nudist colony. In addition to it not being a spiritually oriented commune,” the statement revealed, “the cold temperatures made [Cohen] self-conscious about strutting around naked.”
Cohen’s statement went on to say that when the cold symptoms subsided and he stopped taking Robitussin, he realized the folly of his actions, stating, “I guess they say not to exceed six doses in a 24 hour period for a reason.”

Nude Yoga, Nude Eating, Nude Comedy Club

Tea512 learned that in the big city of New York there are places where people are getting naked and hanging out. These places include restaurants, yoga club and comedy club. Let try it one at a time the restaurants are rented by about 50 diners who enjoy being naked. Everyone at the dinner party will be naked, except for the staff, by law they must be clothed. This occasion seems like a nude beach except no sand, sitting and eating. Next up is a yoga class naked taught twice a week. This does not seem that off the mark as yoga is supposed to help you with becoming one with your body. Therefore, there is no real shock here although some of the yoga positions might make your neighbor behind you, workout with their eyes closed. The thing we find with this let all get naked and expose ourselves crowd, most of the time it is not someone you would want to see naked in the first place. The last place listed was a Comedy Club, can you imagine? The audience full of naked people and a comedian comes out and starts ripping into the people. This must do wonders for the old adage; imagine them in their underwear so you are not as intimidated by the audience, how about looking at them completely naked. We believe this is a niche club, with the same people attending these events. As always at Tea512 we support naked, naked in public, we usually prefer naked in public by good-looking people.
