The latest chick–lit book–turned–TV show is Gigi Levangie Grazer's The Starter Wife. The show, airing on the USA Network, stars Debra Messing as Molly Kagan, a former "Hollywood Wife", making a new life for herself post-divorce. I love these types of shows because while the premise is interesting, the focus is really on the fashion. Because of this, the network partnered with various designers and online e-tailers to design/highlight Molly's looks. Handbag designer Lauren Merkin worked with Debra Messing to design the "Molly" custom clutch, inspired by, and named after Messing's character on the show.
