The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (ゼルダの伝説時のオカリナ, Zeruda no Densetsu Toki no Okarina) is an action-adventure video game developed by Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis and Development division for the Nintendo 64 video game console. It was released in Japan on 21 November 1998, in North America on 23 November 1998, and in Europe on 11 December 1998. Originally developed for the Nintendo 64DD peripheral, the game was instead released on a 32-megabyte cartridge—at the time the largest-capacity cartridge Nintendo had produced. It was re-released on the Nintendo GameCube as part of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Master Quest and The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition compilations, on the iQue Player in 2003, and on the Virtual Console in 2007.

Ocarina of Time is the fifth game in The Legend of Zelda series in terms of release, but is set before the first four games. The player controls the series' trademark protagonist, Link, in the land of Hyrule. Link sets out on a quest to stop Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo, from obtaining the Triforce, a sacred relic that grants the wishes of its holder. Link travels through time and navigates several dungeons to awaken sages who have the power to seal Ganondorf. Music plays an important role—to progress, the player learns several songs for Link to play on his ocarina or the Ocarina of Time.

The game received wide critical acclaim and commercial success. The first Zelda game with 3D graphics, it was praised for taking elements of the two-dimensional games and successfully translating them into the third dimension. It sold over 7.6 million copies over its lifetime, excluding ports and re-releases, making it the fourth bestselling game released for the Nintendo 64. On Game Rankings, a site which collects and averages game reviews, Ocarina of Time holds the highest average review score of all time. Its Gamecube re-release, which includes the original game plus a new "Master Quest" with reworked dungeons, holds an average score of 90% based on 24 reviews, ranked #191 among all games. Metacritic, another review collection site, has Ocarina of Time's N64 version holding the highest average score, and its GCN version holding the 203rd highest score.

Legend Of Zelda Master Quest

Ocarina of Time: Master Quest started as an expansion to Ocarina of Time to be used with the Nintendo 64DD under the working title Ura Zelda. The Master Quest compilation was given as a premium for pre-ordering The Wind Waker in Japan and North America, as well as in a special GameCube bundle at Wal-Mart. In Europe and Australia the disc came in the same case as the initial pressings of The Wind Waker. In Europe it was available for a limited time through a special offer on the Nintendo website. The Ocarina of Time: Master Quest box contains a single disc which includes the original game, the Master Quest version, and six video demos for various games for the GameCube including one for The Wind Waker and a video demo of the GBA re-release of A Link to the Past. Master Quest uses the same engine and plot of Ocarina of Time, but dungeons have been rearranged.

Here's a simple ocarina papercraft from the action-adventure N64 video game. Throughout the game, Link learns twelve melodies that allow him to solve music-based puzzles and teleport to previously visited locations in the game. The Ocarina of Time is also used to claim the Master Sword in the Temple of Time. You can download that here together with and Arwing, a Hylian Shield, Lon Lon milk bottle and Mario's hat.

Hey there. Man, I need one of those!! lol An ocarina. How bad ass is that?!?!?! I didn't even know these things existed. I love Ocarina of Time. I think that it's one of the better Legend of Zelda games that was ever created. Hyrule is beautiful, the characters are memorable, and the music spoke for itself. Bolero of Fire is hands down my favorite song in the game. It's the song the dude is playing above. If I can get my hands on one of these, I'd so learn how to play this song first. As for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the game was truly revolutionary for it's time. I need to pull out the 64 and handle this game again. Bring me back to simpler times; where I played out my life as Link, adventuring amongst the Gorgons and Zora, obtaining master swords and it's many incarnations, and spent half of my day chasing Gannondorf. lol Later!

Based on the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, here's the Fairy Bow papercraft from Kaboom. It can be obtained from the Forest Temple stage that is guarded by a trio of Stalfos (skeleton soldiers). The Fairy Bow can charge its arrows with fire, ice, or light elemental energy.
