Tottenham will be looking to get back to wining when they take on Sunderland at home in this weekend’s Premiership game.

Spurs lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to Chelsea in their last game and manager Juande Ramos will want to ensure his side gets all three points from this outing.

Gareth Bale, Assou-Ekotto and Garner are still out with injuries, but the return of Ledley King has boosted Tottenham’s defence.

Sunderland scored a fine win at the Stadium of Light against Portsmouth beating them by a margin of 2-0. Kieran Richardson’s brace helped Roy Keane’s team gain all three points from that fixture.

However Sunderland continue to be in the danger zone and will need to win some matches pretty soon to stay alive this season.

What a surprise!

I didn’t give much chance to Spurs to win the Final, not when they were up against the much fancied Chelsea. Avram Grant must be kicking his very own butt at the moment! I’ll bet Jose Mourinho is smiling in silent somewhere, happy to see that his amazing records at Chelsea are still very much intact. :-)

Tottenham Hotspur welcome a confident Newcastle United to White Hart Lane this Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur stunned Portsmouth 2-0 last week and will be looking to consolidate their position on the league table. Spurs boss Juande Ramos could not make it a triple UEFA Cup triumph, but he will be keen to take his team into the top half.

Newcastle United won their first game in nine Premier League games under Kevin Keegan. The Magpies will now want to ensure survival as they are hovering close to the danger zone. Last season Newcastle United had won this fixture 2-3.
