Binside TV was in the house for the 3rd Annual Black Girls Rock Awards at Lincoln Center. Vanessa Williams and Malinda Williams joined award winner Iman. Everyone looked so beautiful! Iman is a goddess and our hero. Iman has the most beautiful and flawless skin. Would you believe she is in her 50's? You go girl!

The annual event created by DJ/model Beverly Bond was hosted by Regina King. Iman was among the honorees who was given a humanitarian award. Erykah Badu won the Rock Star Award. Regina King rocked her well defined and toned physique on the red carpet. Regina King told Binside TV that she was so excited about the Election and Barack Obama's campaign that she has been helping get the word out. She also said that besides producing projects with her sister she is about to focus on working behind the camera to direct a film. Great news Regina! The star-studded award show hosted by Regina King will pay tribute to the industry's most accomplished icons as well as lesser known women who are distinguished in their particular fields. U.S. Paralympian and world's fastest amputee April Holmes, who is also the world record holder in the 100, 200 and 400 meter races will receive the BGR! 'Becoming Legendary' Award. British RandB and pop sensation Estelle will take home the BGR! 'Who Got Next?' Award. Bethann Hardison who shook up the fashion world by speaking out against the lack of diversity in the industry will be walking away with the BGR! 'Shot Caller Award'. This year's BGR! 'Living Legend' Award goes to actress and icon Pam Grier, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee who set the tone of "independence" for Black actresses as the queen of 1970s Black filmography. "It is important that we take time to honor these extraordinary individuals and hold them up as shining examples of the great women that we are so that future generations of girls can see other examples of who they can become," said BGR! founder Beverly Bond.

Additional honorees include supermodel IMAN, global ambassador of 'Keep A Child Alive' and founder of IMAN Cosmetics who will receive the BGR! 'Social Humanitarian' Award, GRAMMY Award-nominated soul singer Erykah Badu will win the BGR! 'Rock Star'Award', Rachel Lloyd, founder of G.E.M.S., an organization that works to rescue sexually exploited children, will receive the BGR! 'Community Service' Award and Nicole Paultre-Bell and Valerie Bell will receive the BGR! 'Monument' Award, which recognizes individuals that have endured crises and withstood tremendous emotional, physical, and/or psychological events. Shortly after news surfaced about singer Erykah Badu's new pregnancy with rapper Jay Electronica, internet fans flocked to their favorite message boards to give their opinion of the newly discovered relationship -- most were mixed. Many commented, mostly negative, about Badu's growing number of baby's daddies -- she has one child with Andre 3000 of Outkast, and another with west coast rapper The D.O.C. Erykah Badu was mad at fans for talking about her latest pregnancy for her third baby daddy. Erykah announced that she was knocked up and pregnant for rapper Jay Electronia. Erykah caused a bit of drama a few years ago when she appeared on the Wendy Williams show and talked about her relationship with Common and called the members of Dead Prez her "boyfriends." Erykah Badu's fans talked about her on the message board and said Erykah sounded like she was living in her own reality show version of a Tyler Perry movie. Erykah Badu wasn't happy with the fan's reaction to her staying out of wedlock and collecting baby daddies so she told everyone on the OkayPlayer forums to kiss her where the sun doesn't shine.

Some fans agreed with Erykah's public rant while others thought her time would be better spent writing a song about the pregnancy incident. One fan named tREBLEFREE wrote the following:

Why are you even addressing this? People will ALWAYS have their opinions of you - trying to browbeat everyone into seeing life your way is a futile fight - and you should be above this.

Pull a Jill and write a song about it...or did you miss the memo that "Hate On Me" was about Okayplayer?

every relationship i have been in was because i loved the person DEARLY and was dedicated to us "exclusively" FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS.

the fathers of my children are my brothers and friends .
we have a great deal of respect for one another and always will.
WE LOVE OUR CHILDREN TO NO END.
we took our own "vows" and CONTINUE TO UPHOLD THEM.
AND THAT IS WHAT THAT IS .

WHO IS THE JUDGE?

WOULD IT "LOOK BETTER " TO MARRY AND DIVIORCE AND MARRY AGAIN ?
WOULD THAT BE MORALLY CORRECT ?
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ? the government's involvement i guess.
IDEALLY , IT WOULD BE EXCELLENT TO FIND THE MAN OR WOMAN WHO FULFILLS YOUR SPIRIT AND STAY FOR EVER AND EVER ( thru sickness and health till death do us part ) AND HAVE HEALTHY STRONG CHILDREN AS A RESULT OF A HEALTHY AND STRONG UNION.
(this CAN happen ... we need much training , however.)

In line with the Boho chic trend this fall, Tom Ford debuts a new fragrance, White Patchouli, in September. According to wwd.com, in the U.S., the fragrance will be carried exclusively at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue through October. The glamorous ads for the fragrance feature Grammy-winning artist, Erykah Badu.

What do you think of Miss Badu as the face of Tom Ford’s new fragrance? I say trés chic; I hope the scent is as sweet as the ad.

Designer Tom Ford has settled rumours about his involvement with the upcoming James Bond film Quantum of Solace, confirming in 31921">31921">31921">an interview with the LA Times that when Bond next steps out he'll be wearing suits, shirts, ties, and knitwear from the designer's fashion house.
