Tomas Vaitkus injury, drops out of the Tour de France

More injuries, and more riders dropping out of this year's Tour de France. Tomas Vaitkus has officially dropped out after his crash. That's a big loss to the Discovery Channel Team.

The peloton is now down to 186 riders following injuries to Lithuanian Tomas Vaitkus of DCT, Eduardo Gonzalez of Agritubel, and Xabier Zandio of Caise.

Tomas Vaitkus is riding with the Discovery Channel Team in the 2007 Tour de France. They get kicked off tomorrow in London.

The Discovery Channel team looks very strong this year. It is led by Levi Leipheimer. He's got big shoes to fill (Lance Armstrong used to lead this team of cyclists) but he is a strong contender for the 2007 Tour.
