The island, located about 230 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. In the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks.

Click here for the google maps view

Bora Bora Lagoon Resort and Spa, Polynesian Jewel in Bora Bora’s Majestic Lagoon

posted by chrissydefour

Imagine the very prototype of a beautiful tropical paradise. That’s Bora Bora you’ve seen in dozens of films. Now picture the perfect resort that fulfills your every honeymoon vacation dream. That’s the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort and Spa.

With lush green forests and warm, crystal-clear blue water, it’s no wonder that Gauguin ran here to find the serenity needed to paint. You can create a different kind of art, while the artisans of the resort sculpt you in the spa.

The spa isn’t just a place to be pampered with massages and oils. It offers aromatherapy and Tama scrubs with semi-precious stones. The Tapo’I wrap will envelop you in an earthly garden of papaya, coconut, or vanilla that’s just heavenly. Get any of the dozen different Maitai No Te Tino body treatments and you may want never to go home again.

The Topara’a pape taurumi tropical massage combines lomi-lomi with balneo therapy. Don’t know what that is? Just go. You’ll find it’s indescribable, anyway. Ok, I’ll tell you. You’re immersed in warm water while the therapist gives a massage as six shower jets ease every muscle in your body.

If you want to spend your honeymoon here - and who wouldn’t - you can sign up for one of the five-night honeymoon packages. It includes accommodation, as well as a special greeting with beverages and flowers decorating your bed. Natch, there’s French champagne and a romantic dinner for two at the Otemanu restaurant.

The resort is situated in the Bora Bora lagoon on a little island called Motu Toopua. The rooms, which are to die for, look out over the lagoon at Mount Otemanu just across the water. At sunset or sunrise, or anytime of the day really the view is breathtaking.

And the rooms - excuse me, bungalows - are incredible themselves. There’s everything from a one-bedroom motu suite right off the beach to a two-bedroom villa with its own swimming pool. There are overwater bungalows that sit on top of a pontoon where you can even feed the fish through a glass-topped coffee table. You’ll feel like you’re cocooned on an island all your own.

I’m not surprised that Bora Bora Lagoon Resort and Spa has won so many awards from travel experts and bridal magazines. A Conde Nast Traveler poll of 28,000 gave it top ratings. Modern Bride Magazine said it had the “sexiest in-room extras, and that it was the “Most scenic honeymoon spot.”

Come to Bora Bora Lagoon & Resort Spa and you’re sure to agree.

I love to hear your experiences if you spent your honeymoon or held your wedding in this hotel. This will help all couples who are currently planning a wedding and looking for a wedding and/or honeymoon destination. Any other tips and suggestions are welcome as well Just insert them into the comments box below this post.
