A cancelled wedding hasn’t put SALMA HAYEK off the institution of marriage the newly single Hollywood beauty is creating a reality show all about tying the knot.

Hayek last month (Jul08) called off her engagement to businessman Francois-Henri Pinault, the father of her daughter Valentina.

But she is pressing ahead with a new hour-long show themed around weddings. Daily Variety claims Hayek and her associate Jose Tamez are in talks with TV bosses to develop the concept. Hayek and Tamez’s TV credits to date include Ugly Betty and TV movie In the Time of the Butterflies.

Mexican-born actress Salma Hayek and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault have called off their engagement, their representative confirms to USA TODAY.

“We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment,” Hayek’s rep said in a statement.

Heart stricken we are. As if!! Have you seen this dude? Every time I picture Salma licking his chode my vagina starts to cry!

Actress Salma Hayek and her French billionaire businessman fiance Francois Henri Pinault have called off their engagement, a spokeswoman said Friday.

"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment," her representative in New York, Cari Ross, said.

The couple announced plans to wed back in March 2007. They met in Italy in 2006, and have a daughter, Valentina, who was born in September 2007.

The actress is currently working on the drama "Keep Coming back" due this year and starring Hayek and Steve Buscemi, about a good teenager with a bad heart condition and a crush on a stripper (Salma Hayek) twice his age who opts to join her Alcoholics Anonymous group just so he can be in the same room with her.

Hayek has recently completed work on the animated family comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" due in theaters this October and starring Drew Barrymore, Jamie Lee Curtis, George Lopez and Cheech Marin. The film tells the story of Chloe, a ritzy Beverly Hills Chihuahua, who while on vacation in Mexico finds herself lost and in need of assistance in order to get back home.

Salma Hayek was out and about on Sunday with her adorable 10 month old daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault. The mother and daughter duo were photographed in Malibu, California. The baby girl was born on September 21, 2007.

The actress, director, television and film producer became pregnant while dating PPR CEO Francois-Henri Pinault. His multi-national holding company specializes in retail shops and luxury brands. Hayek is currently an executive producer of the ABC hit sitcom Ugly Betty.
