Leather-like eco-friendly handbags are perhaps the most limited items in the market today. This is due to limited raw and recyclable materials and possibly manufacturers are aware that faux leather handbags are and can be a hard sell. Since most handbags that are supposed to replicate leather or suede are not as fashionable as we want them to be.

Matt & Nat is a brand of eco-friendly handbags that comes to mind which in my opinion is in the forefront of innovative technology and unique style.
A friend of mine recently bought one of their handbags from the Japanese Paper Collection. And was very impress!
The vegan leather which is 100% Polyester looks and feels like the real thing. I was skeptical at first, thinking that she was just pulling my leg. The handbag is very chic and finding out it was eco-friendly was an added surprise.

It's no secret that it's difficult to be both fashion forward and eco-friendly. To put it plainly, it's hard to find attractive and eco-friendly clothing and accessories.

Too often if you're shopping for something to wear, that's also good for the environment, you've alreadly been lumped into the "hippie" or "casual and carefree" category.

This of course, isn't a bad thing, but, honestly, fashionable people need eco-friendly products too! Enter, Vegan Queen , a line of handbags dubbed, "Eco-Luxury."

They're recyclable, non-toxic, organic, sustainable, cruelty-free and made in the U.S., plus, they're cute. Still, they're sheik design puts them in the high-end price range, with bags ranging from $300 to $1,000.

Rooftop Trunk Show

My weekly blogger mention goes to in cinq. Aside from being in the club (a/k/a is a vegetarian), she is a university student and as a part of an art project, created a blog, in which she chronicles others who submit self-portraits and they "reveal themselves in a 9-word cinquain" poem. This week there is a guy from outerspace, a guy from princeton, a guy in a brown sofa, and a girl far far away. The collection is really neat and very revealing. You can also submit you own self-portrait. I think i will contribute mine, i'll post back a mention when i do.
