We could join the MSM and prognosticate whether Hillary’s continued persistence in this year’s presidential sweepstakes with Don Quixote’s lack of perspicacity. We might also engage in vice-presidential aspirations or in the generic what does Hillary Clinton want? Her recent comments about “white people voting for her,” followed by her macabre remark about the Robert Kennedy assassination demonstrate that Mrs. Clinton has crashed and burned. The ego bruise must excoriate her now that Senators McCain and Obama are engaged in the rigors of debate while Senator Clinton is all but ignored.

While the presumptive party nominees disengage from Sen. Clinton and engage each other. McCain has chosen to inject mental content into the campaign fray. Maverick John may surpass Sen. Obama in years and Washington experience. His image to the contrary notwithstanding, the Arizona senator has a foreign uber-lobbyist, veteran Charlie Black, as his campaign’s chief advisor and a Washington, DC firm as his domestic fixers.

John McCain’s amorousness may or may not have been satiated by the lobbying firm of Alcalde and Fay but it has opened a lot of doors for the GOP presumptive nominee. We already know Vicki Iseman has extensive experience in telecommunications, representing corporations before the House and Senate Commerce Committees.

The firm represents five important clients which have given Senator McCain access to the religious right, Miami’s Cuban community, local Florida governmental officials, and defense contracts. Alcalde and Fay also represent local governments in five other states.

Through the firm’s representation of Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network, McCain received the political juice necessary to secure the endorsement of Reverend John Hagee and other evangelical ministers.

The firm’s representation of more than a dozen Florida municipalities, including the City of Miami and Hialeah as well as Hispanic media giants Telemundo and Univision undoubtedly aided Mr. McCain’s recent hard line policy address with regard to the communist lead island.

As payback for the favors of the lobbying firm we already know Senator McCain wrote letters on Ms Iselin behalf to further the aims of her telecommunications clients while both a member and Chairman of the Unites States Senate Commerce Committee. He chaired and is currently ranking member of the committee.

He has also helped VSE Corporation receive massive federal contracts from DOD and the Department of Energy. If you play the market and John McCain becomes president jump on to VSE Corp the defense and energy Corp received $308 million in government contracts in FY 05 and at least $173 million in 2007. Here, his membership on the Senate Armed Services Committee would prove helpful.

a global leader in providing customer contact management solutions and services in the business process outsourcing (BPO) arena .

More on Richard Quinn, McCain’s top Southern political aide, in addition to the twelve disbursements he received from the McCain campaign totaling $187,000 for GOTV and direct mail these disbursements are only through 1/08. He also represented Straight Talk America, Senator McCain’s political action committee. FEC research shows he received $250,000 from the South Carolina Republican Party in 2002 and represented Rep. Joe Wilson a GOP member of Congress as well as Jim Klauber in an open seat race also in 2002.

Wilson was the first Republican to brand Democrats appeasers. In 1995, responding to calls for an independent commission to investigate the alleged abuse of detainees, he said that it "is just inconceivable and truly incorrigible that in the midst of the war, that the Democratic leaders would be conducting guerilla warfare on American troops." Wilson called the proposal "another example of some Democrat leaders trusting the words of terrorists over the proven decency of U.S. troops.”

He has received contributions from the Conservative Victory Fund, the Eagle Forum, National Right to Work Committee, NRA, National Pro-Life Alliance, and other members of the far right–wing giving network. He also received contributions from, Big Sugar, Big Oil, and Wal-Mart. In fees and expenses Rep. Wilson paid Quinn more than $270,000.

In the same year Quinn represented Jim Klauber a candidate running for the seat being vacated by Lindsey Graham to run for the United States Senate. Klauber lost to James Gresham Barrett. Klauber delivered most of his $360,000 operating budget to Quinn.

It has been reported but not documented by FEC documents that Quinn has represented Senator Lindsey Graham.

The Buzz knows more than a little bit about subtlety and is an expert in reading between the lines — especially when decoding “politicianspeak.”

Given those sterling credentials, it’s clear to The Buzz U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham doesn’t think much of Gov. Mark Sanford as a party leader nor vice presidential candidate.

Graham said Tuesday he would support members of the Legislature’s Republican Caucus against any primary challenge.

Translation: “Mr. Governor, by targeting Republicans who don’t agree with your reform agenda, you’re hurting the party.”

Graham also said those whom you agree with “80 percent of the time is your friend.”

Translation: “Mr. Governor, leave our incumbents alone.”

Then on Thursday, Graham, one of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s closest friends, was asked about who McCain might pick as a running mate.

Sanford has been getting lots of mention lately. Graham said he didn’t think a South Carolinian would bring value to a ticket.

Translation: “You’re not on the short list, Gov. Sanford. I’ve seen it and you’re not on it.”

Four candidates have announced their intentions to run against Graham, but only one had filed with the state Republican Party by Thursday. Asked whether he had a sense of if he’d have one challenger or four challengers, Graham said he didn’t know but liked his chances either way.

Translation: “I have $4 million waiting on whoever challenges me. Bring it on.”

Hey Mcnasty, I agree this is a cute babe but what does your wife think? They almost could be twins! Just because she traveled with your several times on a corporate jet doesn't mean anything, I agree. We want the details about the corporate jet trips with Ms Vickie. Why didn't you address the question as to why you contacted the fcc about her client? Why her client? You only said it had gone past 800 days when normally it took 400 days. Did she influence you? Of course she did. Was it illegal, I don't think so because it was before the law was changed, right?

WASHINGTON — Early in Senator John McCain’s first run for the White House eight years ago, waves of anxiety swept through his small circle of advisers.

A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, in his offices and aboard a client’s corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself — instructing staff members to block the woman’s access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist’s clients, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.

Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity.

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — John McCain emphatically denied a romantic relationship with a female telecommunications lobbyist on Thursday and said a report by The New York Times suggesting favoritism for her clients is "not true."

"I'm very disappointed in the article. It's not true," the likely Republican presidential nominee said as his wife, Cindy, stood beside him during a news conference called to address the matter.

"I've served this nation honorably for more than half a century," said McCain, a four-term Arizona senator and former Navy pilot. "At no time have I ever done anything that would betray the public trust."

"I intend to move on," he added.

McCain described the woman in question, lobbyist Vicki Iseman, as a friend.
