Victoria's Secret Angels Get Ready for Fashion Show

(Photo Agency)more pics »I'm sure plenty of men would like to have been the captain of this ship, sailing in Miami toward the Fontainebleau Hotel, where the Victoria's Secret Angels will film their annual holiday fashion show tomorrow night. A herd of sexy ladies stood and admired the views, getting used to the sailor lifestyle. You can tell Heidi is loving it, and she's looking as radiant as ever.

As if these women aren't enough of a draw, E! reported that the show will be attracting some more A-listers: A-Rod, Terrence Howard, Kim Kardashian, Venus Williams, and Brody Jenner, to name a few. Usher's performance is a sure thing, but the show organizers are saying there is another very special, "super secret" performer as well. They try to keep everything pretty hush hush before the big day (December 3), but these photos of Miranda Kerr were already released. Looks like the costumes will be as elaborate as always!

One model, Alessandra Ambrioso, just had a baby three months ago and is still going to hit the catwalk, undoubtedly looking like a million bucks. Sounds familiar; remember Heidi in 2005?

The show was on November 9, and her son Henry Samuel was born on September 12. You do the math.

Victoria's Secret Bras Cause Rashes and Welts

Victoria's Secret has built a reputation on making lingerie that is sexy, stylish and comfortable, but that ideal may be tested as of recent reports. According to ABC, some VS consumers have complained about itching, redness, rashes, hives, and permanent scarring from wearing the Angels Secret Embrace and Very Sexy Extreme Me Push-Up bras they bought.

Roberta Ritter is one of them:

I had the welts ... very red, hot to the touch, extremely inflamed, blistery. It itched profusely. I couldn't sleep, waking up itching. I was just utterly sick.

Ritter filed a lawsuit against them in May, and now some attorneys are filing a class action suit as well.

What's the problem? According to TMZ, tests have shown that the bras have tested positive for formaldehyde, which is used in the embalming process to preserve human remains. Ew. Victoria's Secret came back with this statement:

Millions of women love Victoria's Secret bras. We have strict quality controls around our products, and we do not use formaldehyde in our bras. Customer safety and satisfaction are always our primary concerns, and we take very seriously any issues our customers may have with our products.

If this is the case, why did they test positive? Why would anyone EVER want to use formaldehyde in their bras? It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

The best side-effect of spring has got to be the vibrant colors, warmer weather, the smell of fresh flowers and the tendency to wear fewer clothes. We can always thank Victoria’s Secret for that, too. This season’s swimsuit line from the lingerie giant is massive, with more than 160 styles ranging from metallic’s (sort of last year if you ask me) to polka dots to the utilitarian reversible tankini.

And of course they’re incorporating their state-of-the art push-up technology as well as larger sizes for the breastfully endowed. As with every season, there are some wildcards. VS is playing around with a 50s era look that wasn’t flattering then and certainly isn’t now. But if you’re thin enough to pull this shape destroyer off, more power to you.
