HOUSTON — The wife of renowned evangelical pastor Joel Osteen acted like a combative diva when a small spill on her airline seat was not immediately cleaned up, a flight attendant who was also on the plane testified Thursday.

The testimony came during the civil trial of a lawsuit that accuses Victoria Osteen, the co-pastor a Houston megachurch, of assaulting a flight attendant before the start of a 2005 flight to Vail, Colo.

Continental Airlines flight attendant Sharon Brown alleges Victoria Osteen threw her against a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast during an angry outburst over some spilled liquid on her first-class seat. Brown claims Victoria Osteen became so upset she tried to get into the cockpit and had to be physically restrained.

A flight attendant's attempt to cash out on a nasty case of hemorrhoids proved unsuccessful today. Continental Airlines flight attendant Sharon Brown claimed that the mental and physical damages she supposedly suffered at the hands of Victoria Osteen were worth at least $405,000.

Brown claimed that Osteen had flipped out in her first-class seat when Brown was not quick to clean up a spill on her armrest. According to Brown, Osteen had shoved the flight attendant up against a bathroom door and elbowed her in the breast in an attempt to rush the cockpit.

Osteen, backed by the testimonies of other passengers, argued that no such incident took place.

Victoria Osteen have been sued by Continental Airlines flight attendant, Sharon Brown. Sharon Brown accused Victoria Osteen of verbal and physical abuse over a spill on the arm rest of her seat. She says First Lady and Co-Pastor Osteen threw her up against the bathroom door and elbowed her in her left breast. Brown testified her breasts started to burn after Victoria Osteen hit her. Several months earlier Brown had receive breast implants after fibroids and benign tumors were removed from her chest. Brown testified she suffers from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder because of the incident.

Joel Osteen said although they were asked to leave the plane, they voluntarily left.

Although, she sued for Victoria Osteen annual net worth, but so far has only been awarded $3,000 by the Federal Aviation Administration. Pastor Joel Osteen said they did not want to pay the fine but thought it would be the best way to put the incident behind them even though they felt they did nothing wrong.

Megachurch Pastor Joel Osteen’s wife, Victoria Osteen, is accused of assaulting a Continental Airlines flight attendant named Sharon Brown on a flight from Houston to Vail, Colorado. Sharon Brown alleges that Victoria Osteen became incensed by a stain on her first class seat and threw her into a bathroom door and elbowed her in the left breast.

Victoria Olsteen has been sued for assault.

The lawsuit against Victoria Olsteen looks like it should be a pretty open & shut case since the FAA has already fined Victoria Olsteen $3,000 for interfering with a flight crew member. According to the report put out by the FAA, Victoria Osteen asked another flight attendant to clean a stain off of her first-class seat and when that attendant said she was going to go get another flight attendant to do so, Victoria Osteen grabbed yet another flight attendant and showed her the seat. The newest flight attendant said she would call the cleaning people and went to the cockpit, where Victoria Osteen followed her and then assaulted Sharon Brown. After allegedly assaulting Sharon Brown, flight attendants asked Victoria Osteen to leave the plane, which she and Joel Osteen did voluntarily.

Now that Victoria Osteen is getting sued, she and her lawyer are trying to get the FAA report thrown out of the court, saying “The FAA does in all due respect an incredibly incompetent investigation”. The lawyer for Sharon Brown said the FAA did an appropriately thorough investigation.

I have previously written a post on Pastor Joel Osteen, but his wife’s brazen assault on an airline stewardess just goes too far… Victoria Olsteen is on an airplane to go to Vail (legendary playground of the uber-rich) and she just cannot tolerate a stain on her first-class seat. After all, it might get on her expensive dress. The wife of America’s most popular pastor Joel Osteen shouldn’t have to tolerate a STAIN, right?! Joel & Victoria Osteen are a shame and embarassment on the Christian faith. Joel Osteen refuses to stand up for what he believes in (or perhaps doesn’t really believe in it at all!) and his wife Victoria Osteen is a snooty, stuck-up, rich baby. Not just a rich baby, but apparently a violent one too. Victoria and Joel Osteen are the perfect match: scam artist and vicious, pampered wife.

I simply don’t understand how 42,000 people in Houston attend Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church services each week when the leadership of Lakewood Church is so obviously terrible. Victoria Osteen should be cleaning toilets for a living and Joel Osteen should be selling cheap crap at local town fairs instead of put on a national pulpit to spew their filth.

Sharon Brown is also apparently having a difficult time getting a fair jury to hear her lawsuit allegations due to the fact that Joel and Victoria Osteen are nationally recognized figures and many potential jurors are fans of Joel Osteen’s television ministries.

I find it truly unfortunate that America has sunk to such a point that Joel Osteen and his degenerate wife Victoria Osteen are our foremost spiritual leaders.

Joel Osteen denies wife assaulted flight attendant

HOUSTON (AP) — Renowned evangelical pastor Joel Osteen told jurors Friday that his wife never assaulted a flight attendant over a small spill on her airplane seat. By JUAN A. LOZANO

Osteen was called as a witness Friday in the civil trial of a lawsuit filed by Continental Airlines flight attendant Sharon Brown, who has accused Victoria Osteen of assaulting her before the start of a 2005 flight to Vail, Colo.

During nearly two hours of testimony, Joel Osteen, who was on the same flight, said the incident was “an unfortunate misunderstanding” stemming from his wife’s requests for flight attendants to clean up a spill on the armrest of her first-class seat.

“We would never disrespect authority or disrespect (Brown). There’s no way in the world,” Victoria Osteen assaulted Brown, said Joel Osteen, who was called to the witness stand by Brown’s attorney, Reginald McKamie.

Joel and Victoria Osteen are co-pastors of Houston’s Lakewood Church, which draws about 42,000 people each week for services. Joel Osteen’s weekly television address is broadcast nationally and internationally and who has written books that have been sold around the globe.

On Thursday, another flight attendant on the plane, Maria Johnson, testified that Victoria Osteen demanded special attention to clean up the small spill. When she didn’t get her way, Osteen became verbally and physically abusive to both flight attendants, eventually grabbing Brown by the shoulders, elbowing her in the chest and pushing her out of the way in an attempt to get into the cockpit, Johnson testified.

But Joel Osteen disputed Johnson’s testimony, saying his wife never raised her voice or grabbed the flight attendants. However, later he admitted to McKamie that he could not hear his wife’s voice from his seat.

McKamie also asked Joel Osteen why he said in one of his religious messages that if it wasn’t for him, his wife would be in prison.

Osteen said he meant it to be a comical statement about the differences between him and his wife, that he likes routine and considers himself boring while his wife is outgoing and likes to go to new restaurants and new places.

“You don’t go to jail because you like different restaurants, do you?” McKamie asked, as the packed courtroom laughed.

“No sir,” Joel Osteen said.

Osteen remained calm while on the stand, even making a joke when McKamie moved chairs around in the room to try and recreate the first-class cabin for the jury.

“That looks like super first-class,” Joel Osteen said of the wide space between the chairs.

McKamie also asked Osteen whether his family was used to getting special treatment, making reference to an anecdote in one of the pastor’s books in which he wrote about being allowed to take an expensive television camera onboard a flight to India even though it was against the rules.

“You feel that you’re entitled to the favor of God … to do things other people can’t do,” McKamie said.

“All of God’s children are,” Osteen said.

Brown has claimed the flight attendants asked to have Victoria Osteen removed from the plane, but Joel Osteen testified he and his family left voluntarily.

The Federal Aviation Administration fined Victoria Osteen $3,000 for interfering with a crew member.

Joel Osteen said his wife did not want to pay the fine but he convinced her to do so because he thought it would be a way to put the incident behind them even though they felt they did nothing wrong.

Brown wants an apology and punitive damages amounting to 10 percent of Victoria Osteen’s net worth as part of her lawsuit. Brown claims she suffers from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder because of the incident and that her faith has been affected. She is also suing for counseling expenses.

But Rusty Hardin, Victoria Osteen’s attorney, says there is no evidence Brown sustained any injuries.
