Sunday August 24,2008: Husky news and notes

The Cascade Clash between the Oregon Ducks and Huskies may have turned a lot more competitive due to the news that Oregon starting QB Nate Costa will be out for next Saturday's game.Costa is a more mobile,athletic passer than Justin Roper,last year's Sun bowl hero.This could bode well for the Husky D led by new Defensive Coordinator Ed Donatell,who plans to implement a more simple,aggressive defense this year.

With Costa out of next Saturday's game in Autzen,look for junior DE Daniel Te'o-Nesheim to be after the quarterback a lot more than last year. They'll be fresher legs on the defensive line with Donatell rotating more players in the trenches.
