Music comedy genius Weird Al Yankovic has added T.I.’s “Whatever You Like,” which happens to be sitting atop Billboard Hot 100 as we speak, to his long list of parodies. Al says he whipped this one up in a hurry, but it clearly sounds like the idea had been simmering for a while.

From Weird Al’s Myspace blog:
“My new single -– which is being released on iTunes tomorrow -– is a parody of T.I.’s smash hit “Whatever You Like.” The T.I. song has been number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 5 weeks now – and this will in fact mark the first time in my career that I’ve been able to release a parody while the original song was still number 1.
Big thanks go out to T.I and his manager for their support - not only was he nice enough to give me his permission and blessing for this parody, but he responded so quickly that I was able to make everything happen insanely fast. In less than a two week period – seriously - I was able to come up with an idea for the song, get legal permission for the song, write the song, record the song, mix the song, master the song, upload the song to my label and deliver the song to iTunes. Talk about instant gratification!”

In keeping with the humor them, I do believe it's hight time I pay a little tribute to my favorite parodist of all time! The one and only 'Weird' Al Yankovic! From his modest beginnings singing such classics as My Balogna (My Sharona), Hey Ricky! (Hey Micky!), and Another One Rides the Bus (Another One Bites The Dust), to his recent blockbuster hits Amish Paradise (Gangsters Paradise), Fat (Bad), Pitiful (Beautiful), and The Theme From the Beverly Hillbillies (Money For Nothin'), Al has been keeping up with the Joneses, so to speak, and has even managed to hang around longer than many of those he's parodied! Nobody in the industry can parody a song like Weird Al Yankovic. The cover of Bad...remember 'im fat, im fat, really really fat'?, really resonated in my life as a child, as did hits such as Like a Surgeon (Madonna) and Amish Paradise (Coolio).

Al is about to release another track, a parody cover of T.I.'s Whatever You Like. If you want to get a good laugh out, I recommend downloading this track and blasting it on the block with your friends! It's been all over the net for a few days now, so i'm not exactly sure who to give credit to...but I think it originated here.
