Woody Harrelson Loves Solar Power For Homes!

Another famous celebrity has fallen in love with solar power for homes. Woody Harrelson has embraced solar power for homes, creating an off-grid, solar-powered lifestyle for himself and his family.

Just like Johnny Depp, Woody Harrelson is a huge fan of solar power for homes. They just love to live that true, green Hollywood lifestyle that only solar power for homes can give them.

As he prepares to welcome into his eco-village community yet another Hollywood star who loves the solar power for homes lifestyle, the UK-based Times Newspaper caught up with Harrelson for an interview. They discussed the solar-powered community in Hawaii in which he lives. Harrelson, a vegan and raw-food enthusiast who once scaled the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco to protest against deforestation, also discussed how his move to solar power for homes is inspired by his wife and three daughters.

Famous for his roles in Cheers, Indecent Proposal, Natural Born Killers, The People vs Larry Flynt, for which he got an Oscar nomination, and most recently No Country for Old Men, Harrelson now lives in an off-gird, eco-village in the tropical paradise island of Hawaii. The community members there have been living with solar power for homes as a community for years before the celebrity got there.

“Everybody in the neighborhood has solar power for homes,” he says. “People get the concept that it’s like a commune, but this was a neighborhood that’s been there long before I got there. They just never wanted power lines.”

It’s a completely sustainable eco-village community that incorporates organic farming as well as the solar power for homes … what you might call a 100% alternative green living eco-village community.

… and who is that other Hollywood celebrity?

None other than Owen Wilson, who will be moving into Harrelson’s community shortly! Wilson seems to be very much on the mend after his brush with death last year.

It is so good to see those in the public eye actively promoting solar power for home and the whole “green” living concept. This will impact positively making it more likely that we will have a sustainable world for our children to grow up in. We love it when celebrities go solar power for homes!

Woody Harrelson Hit With $2.5 Million Lawsuit

Woody Harrelson is being sued again by the same photographer who filed a lawsuit against him for assault last year.According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, photographer Josh Levine claims that the “Cheers” star injured him physically and emotionally when he assaulted him two years ago outside a Hollywood hotspot.Levine, who was working for TMZ.com in June 2006, called out to the actor to get his attention near the intersection of Las Palmas Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.Harrelson apparently broke his camera, choked the paparazzo, and shoved the camera into his ribs.The injured shutterbug is seeking $2.5 million in damages. He is also including one of the actor’s bodyguards, who was allegedly ordered to attack him.Levine had originally sued Harrelson last year but he dropped his case in January.

Woody Harrelson and good buddy Owen Wilson are seen here in Hawaii together and it appears that Owen will be following in the Footsteps of Woody when it comes to environmental consciousness.

The two became very close after Owen Wilsons attempted suicide last year when Woody stepped in and helped Owen through the ordeal.

The two spent some time together in an ecovillage in Peru and now Owen has indicated that the life in an ecovillage on the Hawaiian island of Maui will be his favored lifestyle.

He is said to have fallen in Love with the Hawaiian paradise and more importantly the eco friendlines of the village. Woody’s house is in an ecovillage that is 100% solar powered and features an array of organic farming methods. It is a completely eco friendly village when photographed by infra red from space shows no emissions.

Eco living and hydrogen cars are becoming the status symbols amonst todays rich and famous. lets just hope that the hype around celebrities and the influence they have on the world will have a positive effect and see people moving towards eco friendly lifestyles.

Owen Wilson and close friend Woody Harrelson have been doing some male bonding in the Peruvian jungle, as these exclusive pictures show. They have been spending time meditating, walking along the Amazon and … stripping down to their less-than-tighty not-so-whiteys for a quick dip. (Does anyone hear banjos?)

Woody has been a constant presence by the Butterscotch Stallion’s side since the troubled Wedding Crashers’ star tried to commit suicide in August. And judging by the smile on his face, Woody’s form of therapy appears to work wonders. The pair stayed in a teepee at the Hanaq Pacha Retreat Center, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

The back-to-basics resort, which Woody sponsors, is a yoga and spiritual retreat that has its own organic gardens that grow produce for the all-vegetarian menu. The wood and canvas malocas sleep up to four people (at a cost of $75 per person per day) and feature furnishings created by local artisans and the children of the nearby Casa de Milagros, a home for abandoned children that Woody also supports.
