Zac Posen's Spring 2009 collection was full high glamour, from big metallic chandelier earrings to embellished dresses.

There were many frills, sugar-pink cocktail dresses, Grecian dresses, animal print gowns, skirts with square cut outs, ruched cocktail dresses, and even a large canary coat/dress.

My favourite piece was the gorgeous one shoulder metallic dress, which I can imagine Kate Mara, friend of Zac Posen, will get first dibs on.

Continuing the dark romance trend, that dominated the Fall collection, Posen produced a stunning array of black dresses.

Claire Danes was in the front row wearing a stunning peachy/pink dress.

The Williams sisters were front row next to Anna Wintour wearing a Prada Resort 2009 coat over a jeweled neck-line dress which is also from Prada. I don't know who was more intimidated.

Venus wore a lavender Zac Posen satin Neptune mini dress, whilst sister Serena wore a jade Zac Posen Maison Signature cocktail dress with a stunning necklace.

Kate Mara matched her Christian Louboutin Mad Mary Janes, with her stunning ivory belted dress.

Joy Bryant wore an off-the-shoulder Zac Posen Fall 2008 dress, which for me is not one of her better looks this week.

Leighton Meester opted for this teal halter ensemble, with gold strappy sandals.

Calvin Klein's Spring 2009 collection was full of crisp, minimalist pieces, in mostly ivory, with some cerulean blues and nude pieces.

The look was dramatic, but the pieces were totally wearable.

The standout pieces were those that had origami folds and pleats.

Eva Mendes was of course in the front row, wearing a white trapeze dress, grey heels and a peach clutch.

Loving everything excluding the grey shoes.

I love the stand-out red on Tyra Banks, but she has pulled her hair back so tightly that she is just recognisable.

I am loving the long shot more than the close up of Serena Williams, and this is because I really do not like her eye make-up.

The always-fabulous designer wears his vote on his sleeve, and he wants to know what you wear when you cast yours.

Posen has launched FashionTheVote.com where you can send him of picture of your election day ensemble, and he will post it on the site for all to see.

Zac's motto?

"Make the future. Look Good."

And, speaking of fashion and politics, I caught up with a few designers during New York Fashion Week to get their take on the topic...Check it out!

Who Wore Zac Posen Better? Dania Ramirez or Becki Newton

Actress Dania Ramirez arrived at the MTV TR3s Pre-VMA Party last month wearing a lavender Zac Posen Strapless pouf dress. She wore her strapless dress with pewter peep-toes.

Becki Newton wore the same dress in an amazing electric blue colour, with black peep-toe Manolo Blahnik booties, and a studded Sonia Rykiel clutch, when she attended the Ugly Betty New York Preview Party in New York.

I love Dania's lavender dress, and I love the way she fills it out, so she wins for me.

Jessica Simpson is seen out with best friend/hairstylist Ken Paves during New York Fashion Week wearing a Zac Posen Iconic stretch knit dress.

The country singer was papped in the dress,which she wore with tan heels, when she left Marc Jacobs fashion show post-party with Ken.

Navy metallic stretch knit dress with fish tail hem accentuates Jessica's curves, which she is rightly proud of.

On Saturday, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia de Rossi wed in an intimate ceremony at the couple's Beverly Hills mansion. The blonde duo, one of the most celebrated couples in the LGBT community, wore Zac Posen to their nuptials. Ellen, who rarely wears skirts, donned a white, loose-fitting suit, while Portia wore a gorgeous ballerina-inspired halter ballgown dripping with tulle. It's Marilyn Monroe-meets Swan Lake.
