Of the number of charitable institutions working for the welfare of the poor and the deprived in India, the Ahmedabad based St Mary’s Mahila Shikshan Kendra run by the Dominican Sisters is one of them. This is a women’s handicraft organization where artisans employ the traditional Gujarati craftwork in designing cushion covers, table covers, wall hangings and bed sheets. The Tree of Life Bed Cover is a hand embroidered bed cover with gorgeous images of celebration of life sewn all over brightening up your bedroom with vibrancy of serenity of nature. The tree forms the centre image with figures of birds and animals surrounding it portraying the natural harmony.
