RuneScape Editor Released As Freeware!
A software development company going by the name of Elite Tools have decided to release their RuneScape editor named "RuneStat" as freeware!
Elite Tools specialise in creating powerful cheat utilities aimed specifically at online gaming. The company, based in Japan usually sell their software to individuals and businesses, as well as selling their services to MMO developers to help test the online stability and security of their code. In a bold move, they've decided to release their RuneStat software completely free to the online masses.
RuneStat originally cost $99.00 and is rumoured to have sold over 10,000 copies. When asked why RuneStat had been released as freeware, Hidaka - the founder of Elite Tools responded with the following:
"We want to show people what we can do. By releasing RuneStat as freeware, we're hoping to bring in a brand new base of customers interested in seeing what else we have to offer."
Elite Tools have no acutal website due to the nature of their software - but if you know what you're doing with Google, you should have no problems in locating their contact information.
In the mean time, it's my pleasure to provide anyone who's interested with an image of RuneStat and a live download link!
