Quick - find me a hole to fall into.

I was just having a browse through my favourite local newspaper (The Stratford upon Avon Herald) before filing it in the cat litter tray, when I came across the most astounding figures concerning compensation pay-outs across the West Midlands.
Apparently, in the last 5 years the West Midlands , that's Councils and their insurers have payed out a total of - wait for it - the grand sum of - £62 Million smackeroonis. Most of the dosh going to people who have tripped up, been eaten by lions, or disappeared down cavernous holes in the pavements ( I made some of this up).
Stratford District Council paid out in the same time period, £39,455 and have now advised all citizens of Stratford and visitors alike, to chalk their names and addresses on the bottom of their boots to make search and rescue, plus identification a lot easier.
