Crocs Signs New Deal
Hi all,
According to bizjournals.com, everyone’s favorite comfort shoe- Crocs (very popular where I live), has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. that will allow it to “produce shoes branded with such familiar comic book characters as Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman.”
Just last year, Crocs acquired Jibbitz LLC, a business created by Sheri Schmelzer that allows you to personalize your Crocs with ornaments that button into those air holes most Crocs shoes feature- you can choose among butterflies, rhinestones, flowers and whatnot. Kids seem to love them- the average Jibbitz sells for about $2.49. Now kids can buy Jibbitz charms to decorate cellphones, and foam-like wrist bands. Crocs paid a cool twenty million for the company. To watch Oprah’s coverage of the Jibbitz rise to fame and fortune click here.
Also as Chris reported weeks ago, Crocs is introducing a high-heel line that I think is a wonderful improvement over their classic clogs. You’ll have to wait to purchase this new style though, because they probably won’t hit stores until Spring.

As you can see, Crocs is on the move and is trying to add (much needed) style to it’s look for both kids and adults. Maybe someday they’ll introduce a pointy toe stiletto…but that may be pushing it!
Enjoy!
Be Your Fabulously Fashionable Selves,
Nicole
