I've moved back down to $5 sit and gos a couple days ago since I have lost ~$100 at the $10 ones (I was up $120 than down $100). And now currently sitting at $631. I think I found what I'm doing wrong, I started playing too loose. So to make me play tighter, I started playing 8-10 sit and gos at once. And it worked. Only problem is I get action on every hand I play and it is only a matter of time before I see bad beats. So I don't like playing the $5:) Things started out good, I made $25 ... Read Full Story

Literally 11 hands in a row I was the favourite and I lost everyone. All premium hands, all cracked by junk..I'm Past the stage of tilt..I think my brain is fried. Make that 12 hands..just finishing up last game, just lost ace king to ace queen. Make that 13..Can't believe it 99 vs 88, my opponent just hit 2 outter on the river, I'm going to cry... I think this is the end of the double up sngs for me and pokerstars too.. I never seen so many bad beats in life, not even at Action Poker where there's nothing but fish. I'll finish ... So I played 2 session today. First session, I played 24 sngs, playing 8 at a time. I am playing the $5 double up turbos and I'm finding that most of the players have the "any hand can win" attitude. So I get action on every hand. And that is not a great thing because than I can only win about 2 out of 3 times. And by the time I get my money in good than they steal my blinds a few times first. So I think I won 14 or 15 out the the first 16 than I was getting tired and ... Read Full Story

There are several ways to start a poker bankroll without investing 1 cent. Here are 3 different ways I started a bankroll from $0; 1) Free Poker Bankrolls This is probably the easiest way to start from $0. Pokerrooms want to bring more customers and are willing to pay people to come play at their site. The bankrolls are usually between $5-$150 and usually have a cashout restriction such as play 500 hands before you can cashout(Cashout restriction is there to prevent someone requesting a cashout without playing). VC Poker $10+$25 Free Bankroll only has a 1 hand cashout requirement and is therefore good ... Read Full Story

Daniel Negreanu will attempt to turn $10 into $100K within 3 years. Daniel heard about Chris Ferguson's $0-$10k Challenge and decided to try it for himself. I decided to try a little fun experiment. Starting with a $10 bankroll I'm playing ring game NL hold'em on PokerStars , starting out at $0.01-$0.02 and not moving up in limits until I have 500 big blinds at the next limit. Why? It's kinda fun. When I get to $25 I'll jump to $0.02-$0.05, Daniel Said. Whatever my bankroll is, I will always buy in for 1/5th of my total bankroll. So, in the $0.01-$0.02 game I'll ... PokerStars likes to break records. It's just one of those things that makes the people behind the scenes happy. Sometimes it happens when no one is really expecting it. This weekend, PokerStars added a million bucks to the regular $1.5 million guarantee and, oh boy, did people show up. As our late night reporter Jen Newell discovered as the Sunday Million went deep into the night, the big money drew out the records. Largest ever $215 Sunday...

Kevin Schaffel had pocket aces twice at the 2009 World Series Main Event final table, and both times his opponent had pocket kings. While this is ordinarily the stuff of poker players' dreams, Schaffel will have this down as a nightmare. The big news from the past hour is that Schaffel, the PokerStars qualifier from Coral Springs, Florida, is out in eighth. Eric Buchman's kings ended up as quads. The bullets turned around and deposited...

A week from this very morning, the poker world will be celebrating its newest champion. 2008 WSOP champ Peter Eastgate will have given up his year-long reign in favor of the 2009 victor and it very well could be that Eastgate will be awarding the bracelet to a fellow PokerStars player. Among the WSOP November Nine are three PokerStars players with their eye on poker's most coveted bracelet. When they sit down Saturday afternoon to resume the...

On most days, I want to be Daniel Negreanu. However, when I see the type of people he may have to face in the PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge, I suddenly don't feel nearly as envious. See, there are a lot of people who get a chance to submit casting videos for the show, and that means it takes a lot of creativity to stand out and get noticed. That means the folks Negreanu will end up playing are pretty darned dedicated to the idea of...
