Playing Good, Running Bad - Pokerstars Challenge - Day 13

From:  poker006.com
I've moved back down to $5 sit and gos a couple days ago since I have lost ~$100 at the $10 ones (I was up $120 than down $100). And now currently sitting at $631. I think I found what I'm doing wrong, I started playing too loose. So to make me play tighter, I started playing 8-10 sit and gos at once. And it worked. Only problem is I get action on every hand I play and it is only a matter of time before I see bad beats. So I don't like playing the $5:) Things started out good, I made $25 in... Read Full Story

Pokerstars Challange Day 17

From:  poker006.com
So I played 2 session today. First session, I played 24 sngs, playing 8 at a time. I am playing the $5 double up turbos and I'm finding that most of the players have the "any hand can win" attitude. So I get action on every hand. And that is not a great thing because than I can only win about 2 out of 3 times. And by the time I get my money in good than they steal my blinds a few times first. So I think I won 14 or 15 out the the first 16 than I was getting tired and started to play not so... Read Full Story

How to Start a Poker Bankroll From $0

From:  poker006.com
There are several ways to start a poker bankroll without investing 1 cent. Here are 3 different ways I started a bankroll from $0; 1) Free Poker Bankrolls This is probably the easiest way to start from $0. Pokerrooms want to bring more customers and are willing to pay people to come play at their site. The bankrolls are usually between $5-$150 and usually have a cashout restriction such as play 500 hands before you can cashout(Cashout restriction is there to prevent someone requesting a... Daniel Negreanu's Bankroll Challenge - Turn $10 into $100K

Daniel Negreanu will attempt to turn $10 into $100K within 3 years. Daniel heard about Chris Ferguson's $0-$10k Challenge and decided to try it for himself. I decided to try a little fun experiment. Starting with a $10 bankroll I'm playing ring game NL hold'em on PokerStars , starting out at $0.01-$0.02 and not moving up in limits until I have 500 big blinds at the next limit. Why? It's kinda fun. When I get to $25 I'll jump to $0.02-$0.05, Daniel Said. Whatever my bankroll is, I will always... Read Full Story

Trying Out Poker Tracker 3 - Pokerstars Challange Day 18

From:  poker006.com
Alright, 2 new things for my Poker Challenge. First, I switched from Turbo sngs to regular sngs. Second, I downloaded Poker tracker 3 two months Trial. Poker Tracker 3 I must say, I really like Poker Tracker 3. I have never used a poker program before and so far it has been easy to setup and manage. There's basically 3 things it tracks; -Voluntarily puts money into pot -Preflop raise -Aggression factor It tracks more and I really should read a guide for it's full potential. Right now I really... Continuing My Poker Silverstar and Reload Bonus Challenge

From:  poker006.com
Okay, I'm finally continuing my poker challenge. Twos months ago, I deposited $600 into my Pokerstars account for the Pokerstar's "World Record Week 25% Reload Bonus". So I have a pending bonus of $150 and I have to earn 3000 FPP points to release it. To become a Pokerstar's Silverstar, I would have to accumulate 1500 VPP points in one month. So I figured I'd break the 3000 points into 2 months of 1500 each month. My Pokerstar's Sharkscope Graph (I started the Challenge at ~500 hands) Why I... Read Full Story

So I played 4 tables of NL25. Played 1144 hands and finished +$63. I Lost $95 at one point which made me tilt but I continued playing and and won back $80. Here are a few hands This hand turned out well; Semi Bluff with AK on the turn . Biggest hand of the day: $105.10 Pot, I flopped bottom set . I thought he had middle set but he only had top pair.
