This Wikizine is devoted to discussing the problems in public education and the solutions to them. Teaching tips, parenting tips and general complaints or solutions are welcome. Public Education in the USA has been ranked 24th among developed nations! It's time to take action!
Most people know the USA is stumbling, but they don't know what to do about it. We want to start a Grassroots Movement to FORCE changes in public education that will give our kids a fair chance in the global economy of the future.
We will also be discussing a new plan "Set Our Teachers FREE! A Plan to Save Public Education" that is cost-effective and puts the authority back into the hands of those who need it - teachers and parents.

With the election fast approaching, I’m running out of time to pick on my favorite whipping boy, George W. Bush. My last post I really railed on issues not being addressed by our leaders. Today I wanted to talk a little about the education dilemma. My daughter is soon to be 4, and most children her age are getting ready to start preschool/head start. We have opted not to send our daughter to preschool and to do it at home. There are many resources out there for education at home. My favorite is abcteach.com. They have free printable and for a small membership fee you can get even more. I love the site...
