(MTV) We apparently have MTV shows like 16 and Pregnant and its spin-off Teen Mom to thank for the decline in teenage pregnancies. According to a recent study by the National Bureau of Economic Research, 16 and Pregnant is responsible for a 5.7% reduction in teen pregnancies in the 18 months following the show's first air date back in 2009.
