FX's 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll' Star Elaine Hendrix Answers Our 26 Burning Questions
The actress plays Denis Leary's sarcastic lover, Ava, in the gritty new music comedy.
In FX's new music comedy Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, Denis Leary stars as Johnny Rock, a former singer whose early '90s New York band, The Heathens, self-destructed faster than any other group in rock 'n' roll history. Fast forward twenty-five years later, and the washed-up musician is trying to re-ignite his ailing career and play his way into music history. The show, which is created, written, and directed by Leary, stars John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, and John Ales.
Stepping into the role of Leary's longtime love and backup singer, Ava, is Elaine Hendrix (The Parent Trap, Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion). With the show's premiere just on the horizon (July 16 at 10 p.m.), the actress took a break from showing off her musical chops (like Empire, the show will feature original music from the cast) to answer our 26 burning questions.
