Victoria Moroles on the Two Sides of High School Life in 'Teen Wolf' and 'Liv and Maddie'
The actress opens up about Andie and Hayden and takes our 26-question personality pop quiz.
Victoria Moroles has spent the last year navigating on-screen high school life of two very different kinds. On the Disney Channel comedy Liv and Maddie, Moroles portrays Liv's (Dove Cameron) tomboyish best friend who deals with love triangles, breakups, and awkward teen moments. On Season 5 of MTV's Teen Wolf, she's a chimera-turned-werewolf who navigates the perilous chaos and supernatural forces that plague Beacon Hills. Stepping into the minds of both characters is, without a doubt, no easy task.
The actress dished on the good and bad of playing Andie and Hayden, the question fans ask her the most (no, she's not Selena Gomez), and the best scenes she's ever filmed.
Andie from Liv and Maddie and Hayden from Teen Wolf — what are the pros and cons of playing both?
Pros of playing Andie: I think getting to share my goofier side and playing with her quirkiness is something I have the most fun with. Her wardrobe is a ton of fun as well and definitely plays a part in creating her as a character for me. As far as cons go, trying to keep her light and upbeat while maintaining that edge is definitely a challenge.
Pros of playing Hayden: Her occasional sassiness, and figuring out the complexity behind that with the vulnerability that is underneath. Another pro, especially throughout filming Season 5 was following her and Liam’s relationship in the midst of all of the craziness. Never really knowing where it was going to go was really exciting, it kept me on my feet. I really can’t think of anything that is really a con as far as her character goes, but figuring out how to play her in the middle of the night at 4 a.m. was a little bit of a challenge for me.
