Sam Palladio on 'Nashville' and His Latest Country Music Obsessions
The charming Gunnar Scott answers our 26 questions in anticipation of his debut EP.
There's much to love about Sam Palladio. He's charming, talented, and impossibly adorable (have you seen him on Nashville lately?). On the ABC musical drama, the British actor plays an ambitious musician named Gunnar. Like his on-screen persona, Palladio also his sights set on music fame.
The singer-songwriter has a debut EP in the works, recently played at this year's Stagecoach Festival, and has taken the stage at the famed Grand Ole Opry on numerous occasions. But no matter how far the country road takes him, Palladio will never stray too far from acting. He'll soon star alongside Carrie-Anne Moss on Season 2 of AMC's Humans. Below, the actor answers our 26 questions about Nashville and his latest country music obsessions.

James Taylor, and I'd sing anything with him.
Embarrassing story you're ready to share with the world:
I was doing a songwriters round in Nashville with four great songwriters and during Trent Dabbs' song, I somehow lost my balance on the high stool and unfortunately got my feet caught on the bars of the stool as well. I so fell forward unable to stop myself and caused a massive scene! Trent and I couldn't stop laughing for the whole show.
Favorite country song of all time:
"Ain't It Always That Way" by Vince Gill.
Guilty pleasure song:
Snorkeling just off the shore in my hometown Penzance.
If your life were a movie, what would it be called?
Escape from Hollywood.

Is it hard to do an American accent?
Revelations you've had since you started work on Nashville:
I now love old-school country music.
Sam Palladio or Gunnar Scott, who would win a lip-sync battle?
Me, Gunnar might get a little nervous if he had to dress up in Spandex and dance like it's the 80's — I'd be fine with it.
TV character you'd love to have dinner with:
Daenerys Targaryen from Game Of Thrones. Maybe she'd let me pet her dragons..
Up and coming band you can't get enough of:
Vine video that cracks you up the most:
I must have skipped the Vine generation, sorry.
Would you rather only sing or act?
Act. That way I could always play a musician, too.

Some sort of colorful deep sea creature.
