In 2007 Dixon became a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and eventually won. In September 2009 Dixon became a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, replacing fellow judge Arlene Phillips. In August 2009 "Wanna Be a Hero" came out, following Dixon's successful and critical success of "I Wish You Could Get That" and "Let's Play That Song." On August 14th 2009 she issued another "Wanna Be a Hero" single, titled "I Can't Wait", featuring the voice for Jessica Biel's "Oh Yeah...
