George Clooney and Wife Amal Have Adopted a Rescue Dog
Excuse us while we lament being born human.
See that goofy-looking basset hound mix above? Well, she just so happens to be the luckiest basset hound alive.
Millie (Clooney, thanks very much) was confined to the shelter of San Gabriel Humane Society before actor George Clooney and his wife, attorney Amal Clooney, went looking for another dog to add to their family. The two were apparently in search of a companion for Louie, their rescue cocker spaniel. Once they set eyes on that minxy mug, though, it seems their search was over.
Prior to visiting the Humane Society, the couple were on the hunt for a basset hound in particular, because, who wouldn't want to snuggle that?
They found mild-mannered Millie on Petfinder, and headed straight to the shelter to see her.
According to the society's website, she's got "gorgeous looks that would land her on any 'Hush Puppies' commercial," complete with "adorable googly eyes, pretty long ears, and shorty legs."
The site went on to say that the four-year-old pup “was found without a home and hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month.” And now, she's in George Clooney's lap, so hey, life works out.
Congrats to the Clooney family on their new addition.
