Super G, which does not allow competitors to practice beforehand, carries a significant disadvantge for those who compete first. Despite that, Weibrecht laid down a time of 1:30.65, which stood up for a bronze.

It's the first time Weibrecht will take to the Olympic podium. The 24-year-old, called by some the future of U.S. men's skiing, will be wearing bronze.
