Directed by Len Wiseman
Starring: Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston
A remake of the 1990 Paul Verhoeven classic starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, this new Total Recall really works as a brainless action flick. But it's mainly a missed opportunity to update the mistakes of the original or juice anything new out of the source material: Philip K. Dick's short story. It's essentially a two hour chase scene with no real payoff.
See it? Nope.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
Directed by David Bowers
Starring: Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Devon Bostick, Steve Zahn
Lord knows how this movie attracts a big enough audience to warrant sequels, but the same could be said for Step Up, Resident Evil, and Scary Movie. This is the third of the these movies in as many years, so if you're a fan of the books you should be excited because there are probably more to come.

Celeste and Jesse Forever (Limited)
Directed by Lee Toland Krieger
Starring: Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg, Elijah Wood, Emma Roberts
Co-writer Jones stars in this promising dramedy that puts her alongside Samberg in a rare non-goofball role. They play high school sweethearts who drift apart but find the dating scene isn't as promising as it sounds. This could be a career-changing role for Rashida as she proves she can carry a movie as a leading lady.

Directed by Fernando Meirelles
Starring: Rachel Weisz, Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins, Ben Foster
Will this be the film that allows Meirelles to fulfill the promise he showed in his debut feature, the fantastic City of God? Not this time. The jumbled script bounces between multiple storylines, slowing down at times to a virtual stop. It's a confusing endeavor for the talented director, and the all-star cast can't save it.
See it? No.
The Babymakers (Limited)
Directed by Jay Chandrasekhar
Starring: Paul Schneider, Olivia Munn, Kevin Heffernan, Wood Harris
Hmmm, a movie from the Broken Lizard guys that doesn't feature any of them in lead roles (Super Troopers), and isn't wrapped around a silly concept (Beerfest, Club Dread)? As a fan of these guys, I'll usually withstand the stretches of ineptitude for a few jokes that really pay off. For non-fans, there's no reason to pay attention.
See it? Sure.

You've Been Trumped (Limited)
Directed by Anthony Baxter
This story was featured on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, and it's a compelling one. A group of Scottish homeowners band together to try and stop The Donald from buying up land, forcing them from their homes, and building a luxury golf resort. If you hate Trump, this will give you even more ammo, and if you like him, well, what's wrong with you?! Seriously, the film has gained praise at nearly every festival and sheds a light on a story you might never have heard. It's what documentary filmmaking is all about.
See it? Yes.
