Battle of the Fictional TV Bands

The Brady kids named their singing group the Silver Platters because they formed the band in order to win a contest so they could buy their parents a — wait for it — silver platter. Like the rest of The Brady Bunch, the Silver Platters were squeaky clean and performed poppy tunes like "Sunshine Day." On the show the Bradys won the contest, and in real life the actors recorded four albums and did a variety show.
