(Getty Images)more pics »Beau Biden, Vice President Joe Biden's son, was hospitalized in Delaware this morning after experiencing some discomfort and a headache this morning, according to ABC. Apparently doctors are currently checking to see if anything is wrong. No specific details have been released yet.

According to a statement released by the VP's office, Beau is "alert and awake, and communicating with his parents and his wife, who are with him,” and that's about all that is known about the 41-year-old.

Beau was supposed to speak at the University of Delaware tonight on "My Life in Public Service," but the event has since been canceled. He is currently the Attorney General in Delaware, after having served a year in Iraq as a captain in the Delaware Army National Guard. He decided against running for a Senate seat in November.
