What if the Ladies of 'Game of Thrones' were 'Real Housewives'?

Maybe Beverly Hills and King's Landing aren't such a long way off.

We love our leading ladies. From reality to fiction, the drama, emotion and power we witness carries us off to another world.

Beverly Hills and King's Landing are a long way off. The yappy dogs, Lambos, and mansions of The Real Housewives look nothing like the snow-crested castle turrets, unkempt horses, and direwolves we know from Game of Thrones. But that doesn't mean there aren't comparisons to be made in the scheming, sleuthing, and all-out scandal of both worlds.

Take a look at our picks and see if you agree.

Cersei Lannister

Real Housewife: Teresa Giudice, Real Housewives of New Jersey

Sexy, conniving, manipulative, and fiercely protective, Cersei would be none other than Teresa Giudice.

Recent events draw comparisons between the two even more deeply, given Teresa's present prison stay for fraud and Cersei's own...well, walk of shame.

Sansa Stark

Real Housewife: Gigi Hadid, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Though Gigi Hadid, daughter of Yolanda Foster, is not a RH per se, she has been a part of the show and there are quite a few parallels between the two.

Sansa is beautiful, naive, good-natured, and wrapped up in a lot of drama that she didn't really ask for. Basically Gigi in a nutshell.

Daenerys Targaryen

Real Housewife: Lisa Vanderpump, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

These two are unique to their respective shows in that they're the only ladies with their own projects and enterprises going on outside of the royal drama. They're both competent, but caring and somewhat ferocious.

Lysa Arryn

Real Housewife: Danielle Staub, Real Housewives of New Jersey

Jealous and occasionally unhinged with what may just be good intentions buried deep down in there somewhere, we witnessed both Lysa and Danielle hit their tragedy-laden breaking points.

Catelyn Stark

Real Housewife: Kathy Wakile, Real Housewives of New Jersey

Both well-meaning, protective moms, the two share their habit of putting themselves last when their kids, family, and loved ones are involved.

By no means perfect, each woman has her own fan base which appreciates her most for lioness-like tendencies.

Margaery Tyrell

Real Housewife: Bethenny Frankel, Real Housewives of New York

It's no secret that both of these women have some legitimate scheming abilities. From Margaery's ability to fool (almost) an entire King's Landing into believing what she wants them to believe to Bethenny's ruthless business acumen, it's lucky they both don't exist in the real world, because they'd be running it — together.

ygritte

Sassy and cut-throat, both Ygritte and NeNe have made it this far by taking zero trouble from anyone and calling the shots as they so choose.

NeNe is also a fighter, in her own way; she's the founder of the Twisted Hearts Foundation, which aims to help battered women — a cause which Ygritte would surely have been behind in another life.
