Hakuna Matata It Up! Beyoncé Joins Live-Action 'Lion King' as Nala
Queen Bey is about to take another throne!
After months of speculation, Disney confirmed that music legend and goddess extraordinaire, Beyoncé, will voice Nala in the live-action The Lion King. Queen Bey will be joined by Donald Glover who is set to play Simba, while James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa.
The 1994 animated version was a smash success, and the re-imagined live-action film should also be quite the thrill. With a stellar cast that includes the likes of Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazu, Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari, and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, this movie already feels like a wonder hit.
Live-action renditions of beloved classics have become a cornerstone for Disney in recent years. With the success of Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent, Cinderella, and The Jungle Book, it seems like Disney is on a role.
