You Can Own Ben Wyatt’s Cones of Dunshire Game from 'Parks and Recreation'
"Are the cones a metaphor? Well, yes and no."
Good news, board game fans: Mayfair Games, makers of Settlers of Catan, have given Ben Wyatt's nearly inscrutable game from Parks and Recreation its own Kickstarter. And if you pay enough (more on that later), The Cones of Dunshire could be sitting in your house by July.
Let's talk first about how much you should be willing to pay to own The Cones of Dunshire. You, average human, currently play with games that fit on a tabletop? With only a handful of characters and virtually no cones? Ha! Ben Wyatt laughs at your averageness. Here's what the full-scale game looks like, as played by nerds gaming heroes at GenCon.
The complete game comes with 4 boards, 59 cones, 51 die-cut figures, 72 custom dice, 12 building pieces, and trust us, much, much more! Mind blown (in a good way), right?
To get the entire game in all its glory, you're going to have to head on over to the Kickstarter and pledge $500. Awesome isn't cheap, you guys. But Cones of Dunshire posters, shirts, and baseball hats are available for prices Parks and Recreation fans might actually shell out for too.
