The couple welcomed their first child, son Edward Duke Rancic, who was born via surrogate on Wednesday evening in Denver, Colorado. The proud parents were both in the delivery room, and the baby's cord was cut by Bill while Giuliana was the first one to hold her new son.
“The ‘Duke’ has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7 lbs., 4 oz.,” Bill Rancic wrote on Twitter early Thursday morning. “G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!”
The couple struggled with infertility, a miscarriage, and a battle with breast cancer in their quest to have a child. Giuliana underwent a double mastectomy last December and is currently cancer free. In April, the E! News host announced that they were expected a child via surrogate.
"Bill and I are blessed beyond words to welcome Edward into our lives," Giuliana, told E! News after the delivery. "Thank you so much to everyone who supported us along the way. We are so in love with the little guy already!"
Congrats Rancic family!
