Bowl games are traditionally a post-season college football game, but has come to mean a significant game in a team's football team's schedule. Well-known bowl games include the Super Bowl and Rose Bowl, and during the holiday season college football fans gather to watch the nation's top teams face off in a number of different bowls.

Bowl games are traditionally a post-season college football game, but has come to mean a significant game in a team's football team's schedule. Well-known bowl games include the Super Bowl and Rose Bowl, and during the holiday season college football fans gather to watch the nation's top teams face off in a number of different bowls.
Since 1998, only three games have had at least one bowl scheduled – this is the most for a four-team Super Bowl.
And since the Super Bowl had the highest population of bowl football football regular seasons, it's no surprise that teams were always favored to play in a bowl game during the college football offseason.
