U.S. Says 'No' to Boy George

Any Boy George fans out there counting down the days to the kickoff of his U.S., tour are going to be pretty unhappy. U.S. authorities have denied the Culture Club front man a visa to enter the country.

George, who's real name is George O'Dowd, was denied the visa because he's awaiting trial in London, his managers confirmed Monday. The 48-year-old will go to trial in November on charges of false imprisonment, related to an April 2007 incident.

His lawyers are looking into the situation, and George hopes they can find a way for him to enter the country.

George had scheduled a number of tour dates at U.S. clubs through July and August, as well as a free concert at the New York City Department of Sanitation's Family Day in August.

No word yet on whether or not the 80's star broke down and starting belting out the chorus of "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" after he heard the news.
