A jury had found the pop star and club DJ (real name: George O'Dowd) guilty by a unanimous verdict last month after a relatively short seven-day trial in London.
The sordid story goes like this: Boy George hired male escort Auden Carlsen and invited the young man over to apartment to take nude photos. After the session, Boy George became convinced Carlsen had tampered with his computer, and handcuffed Carlsen to the wall while he examined the PC. Carlsen says Boy Geroge also punched him and beat him with a metal chain, though the Boy George has repeatedly denied these claims.

When sentencing the pop star, the judge in the case said the former Culture Club frontman was was guilty of “gratuitous violence" and that his "premeditated callous and humiliating handcuffing and detention of Mr. Carlsen shocked, degraded and traumatized him.”
This isn't the first time Boy George has been on the wrong side of the law. In August of 2006, he had to spend five days cleaning up trash from the side of the road in New York after being found guilty of falsely reporting a break-in at his New York City apartment.
