There Has Never Been a Better Time to Enjoy Britney Spears' $10,000 Flower Painting
...and the fact that Robin Leach bought it.
The great Britney Spears can now add "no frills flower artiste" to her extensive list of achievements.
These days, Spears is a bonafide philanthropist, volunteering large amounts of money and time to charity. Most recently, the pop princess and thriving blossom artisan donated a beautiful painting to Vegas Cares, a benefit concert honoring the victims of the Route 91 Harvest event shooting.
The piece reminds one of simpler days, and you can watch its creation in the delightful video below.
Las Vegas has a special place in Spears' heart. The tourist hot spot has been her home for the last four years while she's enjoyed her residency at Planet Hollywood.
"I'm so proud to call Vegas my second home and I'm pleased to participate in this Vegas Cares show," Spears told fans before the painting was auctioned. "The flowers in my painting represent a new beginning, and it's in that spirit that we move forward. All the proceeds from the winning bid go to Vegas Cares Memorial Fund. I appreciate your kindness and your generosity. I love you, Vegas."
The petal on the tulip, though, is the identity of the buyer who went home with Spears' artwork: Robin Leach. Leach, who also led the auction, purchased the painting for a cool $10,000.
Here he is living life to the fullest:
The money will go straight to those who need it most and the world has been blessed with a legendary creation.
What a good day.
