Bruce Springsteen Didn't Know Where in the World He Was Friday

Bruce Springsteen came out on stage Friday night and did what most rock stars do at the beginning of a concert: said hi to his fans. Only maybe the "Born in the USA" singer should've stopped to remember what part of the USA he was in first because he shouted "Hello, Ohio!" to a giant crowd in, oh, Michigan. We're no cartographers, but we certainly know those states aren't the same!

Thankfully, guitarist Steve Van Zandt filled The Boss in on his blunder -- but only after Springsteen had made THREE references to Ohio. Ouch.

The guitarist said to Rolling Stone (via E! Online): "I just grabbed him and said, 'You don't realize it, but you're saying Ohio and we're in Michigan.'

He said 'What?!?' In his mind he knew he was in Detroit, but somehow Detroit wound up in Ohio for a minute."

Big whoops. We're sure no one minded too terribly much; he put on a 3-hour show, after all.
