Lenny’s body was found on October 26 at the Intercontinental Hotel, in Kansas, shortly before Bruce was to take to the stage at the city’s Spirit Center, forcing him to cancel that night’s concert.
A statement on the singer’s website posted soon after read: “Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last 10 years, passed away today at the age of 36. A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family."
Meanwhile, Bruce, known by the nickname ‘The Boss,’ was presented with a Kennedy Center award by President Barack Obama at a White House reception on Sunday. As he handed over the accolade, Obama quipped: "I'm the President but he's The Boss."
