The magical tale of Pete's Dragon is coming to life in the best of ways.

In a trailer posted by Disney on Sunday, we have our first look at the film's profoundly lush landscapes, as well as a peek at young orphan Pete's (Oakes Fegley) shenanigans.

As of yet, no Elliott the dragon has made his full debut, but after seeing the clip below you'll be willing to wait a bit longer.

The blended live action/CGI project also stars Jurassic World's Bryce Dallas Howard as Grace, a ranger who discovers Elliott, and American Horror Story: Hotel's Wes Bentley, who plays local mill owner Jack. The crew serve as comrades to Pete as he navigates the world with his large friend.

Pete's Dragon premieres August 12, 2016.
