Considering the particularly unsavory climate dominating the entertainment industry, it's no surprise fans were concerned after Stranger Things star Sadie Sink expressed discomfort about an unscripted kiss. In one recent episode of the after show Beyond Stranger Things, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer said they felt compelled to make the 15-year-old kiss co-star Caleb McLaughlin during the Hawkins Middle School Snow Ball dance scene because she was "so freaked out."

"I get there, the first day of [filming the] Snow Ball… one of you, I think it was you, Ross, you say, ‘Ooh, Sadie, you ready for the kiss?’" Sink described during the after show. "I’m like, ‘What! No! That’s not in the script… that’s not happening.’ So the whole day I was like stressed out, I was like, ’Oh my god, wait, am I gonna have to’… And it didn’t happen that day, but then the second day of filming the Snow Ball."

At the time, the Duffers' apparent bullying didn't sit right with some fans, but in a new interview with TheWrap, Sink put the controversy to rest.

While she acknowledged the teasing that went on during filming, she said she was perfectly comfortable with the way it all went down.

"I mean, of course I was nervous because it’s a first kiss, right?" she said. "But I never objected to [it] or felt pushed into anything. I always felt comfortable and the Duffer Brothers, they do the best job, and always create a comfortable space. And if I felt uncomfortable with anything, I wouldn’t have done it."

Well, that's a relief.

It is notable that TheWrap went on to ask Sink "if anyone had prepped her on what to say about the kiss," which was met with an "uncomfortable pause." Sink's publicist reportedly then responded on behalf of the actress, stating "she believed she had answered the question fully."

Still, Sink seems to be at peace with the sequence of events, and we're pleased to hear it.
